From ours the city is laid out below, a silvery slope of olive trees sitting in the foreground, the Duomo and Giotto’s tower making their presence felt on the skyline, the southern hills beyond. It’s beautiful, even in the rain — rooftops shining, a mist dulling colours, the sun making the drizzle twinkle. Romantic? Of course.
